José is more than happy about spending the next few years at KUBUS. “I like the fact that the company focuses on growth. My work energises me personally because rather than just being involved in sales, I also discuss ideas with my clients about solutions that could help them get ahead. What’s more, KUBUS gives me the freedom and space to make my position what I want it to be, and to make my own choices. I appreciate that enormously.”

Lockdown: what a time to start!  José started at KUBUS in September 2020, right in the middle of the lockdown. Despite this unusual start, he immediately felt at home. “The lockdown was actually a period in which the company focused closely on the long-term strategy and what is required for growth. That appealed to me at once. Fortunately, there was no time to stand still. And my colleagues from the consultant team were always ready to share their expertise about BIM. This enabled me to grow too.”

Constantly in contact José’s role consists mainly of getting in contact with clients and maintaining relationships with them. “I convince new clients that BIMcollab will improve their workflow, and look for the best solution together with them.” That’s why José has conversations with clients every day. “I call clients in Spain and Italy in the morning, and in the afternoon I’m on the phone with people in Brazil or Chile. That’s what makes my work so varied. No two days are alike."

Much to be gained When José started work at KUBUS, he was no expert in the field of BIM. But the fact that he was trained as an engineer, combined with his sales background, helped him pick it up quickly. “By now, I know how we can use BIM to help clients, and what problems they encounter.” After the client has been convinced, José still remains in the picture. “As a Business Development Executive, I’m also the account manager for our existing clients. We don’t just make a sale and leave. Together with the consultant team, we help to implement BIMcollab and we show customers how they can get the most out of it.”
